At Clinica Medica we have been searching for the ultimate body sculpting procedures, going by the demands of men and women alike who visit our clinic struggling with difficult pockets of stubborn fat. We have tried Radiofrequency, Laser lipolysis and ultrasonic cavitation, and these machines have drawbacks; neither laser or Radiofrequency cause fat cell destruction and ultrasonic cavitation doesn’t give us consistent results. On the other hand, CoolSculpting will permanently remove an average of 25% of fat volume! I think it is time now to give you some facts about the science behind the fat freezing machine and procedure.
What is the science behind CoolSculpting?
Freezing fat while protecting the skin, during the treatment skin temperature drops to -11 degree for 35 or 45 minutes depending on the area treated. Once the fat is frozen for that length of time it triggers a reaction resulting in natural death of twenty to thirty percent of the number of frozen fat cells.
Will more fat cell appear in the treated area?
The number of fat cells are fixed in our body from early adolescence. After the treatment fat cells that die will not be replaced, this permanently changes the shape of the body.
Why doesn’t the treatment freeze or damage the skin?
Skin is made of water with no fat, so the freezing effect on the skin is minimal, but in addition the skin is prepped with special treatment to stop freezing.
How safe is the coolsculpting?
CoolSculpting is the only cryo-lypolysis machine that monitors skin changes, temperature variation and frost formation. In the event of this happening the machine safety mechanism will stop the treatment.
Why should I use CoolSculpting rather than any copycat machine?
We do know that there are some providers in the market offering fat freezing treatment at a fraction of the price. CoolSculpting is the only machine with a safety freeze event monitoring system, it comes with multiple applicators to treat different parts of the body and evidenced to delivers results. Buy cheap buy twice!
How many treatments are required to see results?
One treatment will give the reduction of an average of 25% however, if you want to achieve greater reduction then further treatment is required.
What area of the body can be treated?
Any area in the body with “pincheable” fat can be treated, so we can only treat surface area fat that is in pockets. The machine cannot be used for circumferential fat reduction. Example of the body areas that can be treated:
- Breast (male)
- Bra Fat
- Inner Thigh
- Outer Thigh (hip)
- Knee Fat
Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is not painful, in the beginning it will feel like an ice cube on the skin then the area treated will feel numb. Immediately following the treatment , the area will be massaged for 2 minutes.
Do I have to have the whole area treated at once?
It depends on the area of the treated but almost all area can be divided on multiple treatments. For example if treating the arms, you can have one arm treated and come back in few days for the other arm to be treated.
How soon do I expect to see results?
People do have a variable time to achieve result but 8-12 weeks is enough to cover all the variations, some see results as early as four weeks.
How soon I can have further treatment on the same area?
Ideally we advise to wait for 12 weeks to review results achieved, however in certain individuals where the fat pockets are larger than average, we will offer further treatment at four week intervals.
